Sometimes you gotta put it down and just let it go.
Phones can certainly be a blessing and a curse can't they? Amazing in that we can stay in touch with our closest friends and family anytime, near and far. Awful in that sometime we are subconsciously led to believe we're not as good as the people we follow.
With how easily accessible our phones are, it's easy to forget how beautiful life can actually be. We put ourselves in our own misery, and sometimes we don't realize how easy it is to make ourselves feel better, simply by putting the phone down or walking away from the screen.
We had the pleasure of working with producer (and longtime friend) Jeremy Jensen, known for his works with longtime Boise band, The Very Most. Jeremy and Dave share an affinity for the legendary band Stereolab, and Jeremy sent this instrumental to Dave, pitching an idea for an official collaboration.
The instrumental ended up on The Very Most's "Needs Help" album, and appears once again here with the Dedicated Servers' version featuring vocal contributions from another longtime friend of the group's, Janessa White, who previously performed and sang in her own artistic endeavors.
This is just a song that we hope can make people feel good because as we always remind people, don't let life fly by you. It is beautiful and we are lucky to be alive and experience all of it's beauties.
